Meet Kaylyn of Kay Veda Bridal

Kaylyn is a New York City-based hairstylist, makeup artist, and owner of Kay Veda Bridal.

She has been working with brides professionally for over a decade, but her passion for styling began in her small hometown of Sturgis, Michigan, where she would do all her friends’ hair and makeup for school dances.

Now living her best life as a Bridal & High Fashion specialist, Kaylyn graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute in 2013, moved to NYC in 2015 and completed her course at NYC Makeup Academy. She specializes in updos and clean looks, but has produced a wide range of styles to enhance her client’s natural beauty. Kaylyn loves a challenge, and will go above and beyond to make your dreams come true.

Kaylyn has worked in many industries including fashion week, indie films, editorial, lifestyle, and fashion photoshoots. Some notable accomplishments are being published on the cover of Artells Magazine and featured in Magnolia Rouge for styling on a bridal shoot. While Kaylyn’s true love will always be Bridal hair and makeup, she also works as a Senior Stylist and color specialist at an Aveda salon on the Upper West side.

Outside of weddings, hair, and makeup, Kaylyn is a down-to-earth gal who loves sushi, lounging with her dog and two cats, spontaneous game nights, and spending all day on the lake in Michigan when she gets to visit. She has a great support system of friends, family, and a partner that she holds close to her heart, and is always giving it her all to be the best version of herself.
